As the saying goes "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater". Instead of ripping the band-aid off, there should have been a more measured approach here. Defunding the top beneficiaries like Ukraine (mostly economic aid), and Israel (mostly military aid), etc. should have been the first step, and then evaluate the remaining egress of funds based on critical measures like aid for food and other basic necessities.
I think this whole USAID crusade is motivated more by ideology and revenge than anything else. Mr. Muskrat was still butt hurt after Volodymyr "Twinkle Toes" Zelenskyy aka Lord Voldemort, told him to "f**k off" after Mr. Muskrat tried to insert himself into geopolitical matters and broker piece between Ukraine and Russia.
