Old books are great, and I love reading novels from the '40s & '50s - NOT politically correct, and remind me of how the US lived with a functioning First Amendment.

But it's also necessary to remember that contemporary accounts of events were occasionally slanted (just like today's journalism) to reflect a political agenda. Sometimes, history is more accurately told long afterward. One only need think of the histories of the Civil War - and how blame was assessed at the time concerning military engagements. Much later analysis, not reflecting a concern for the current political (anti-South Reconstruction) atmosphere, can be quite different.

Michael,

I sent a package of information about the history of the United Nations and the longtime program of The John Birch Society to Get the U S Out of The U N! I sent it to an address in San Francisco that was on your website or substack but now I see you have an address in Archer, Fl. I hope you get it because I also sent a check along with it.

Thank you for all you do, keep it up.
