Sachs is very naive when it comes to China, VERY. My uncle was Australasian VP for Dow Chemical, lived in Asia for about 12 years, ending around 1986.

He HATED dealing with the Communist Chinese. Said the ink would not be dry on a contract before they would be screwing you in some way. Said they were as crooked as the Japanese were honorable in their business dealings. Begged Dow not to ever do business with them.

When you are in an information war you will be played what you see on the surface. Dive deep and you will find a different result down below. We are being played. AI is what Musk is Al about. Brain chipping. It all plays in to the new world Oder. King Trump in Gaza. Do not believe anything you see in the news. Trump is a wrecking ball and is good at it. The left use to love Tesla. Now it is Maga supporting Tesla and the left hating Musk. We are being played. That is what democracies do. But we are a Republic bread the constitution. Trump and Musk are destroying the constitution like every other American politician except Thomas Massey who Trump is going against. View Whitney Webb. You will learn great things along with BARDs FM with Scott Kesterson.

Massie is like every other virtue-signalling Libertarian I've ever known (and I've known a lot of them in my long life). So is Rand Paul, and so was his "do-nothing-but-flap-your-sanctimonious-jaw" father.

None are consistent in living our their principles when it comes time to vote. You love what they do today, but they'll screw you by voting for some RINO measure tomorrow.

Ah . . . a "legacy". In politics, that's being remembered by historians as having an impact on their constituency. So, if a politician is seeking a "legacy" - you're saying it's to be remembered as a "me first" leader? You believe they want historians to view them as greedy tyrants?

I'd agree with you that Trump and Musk seek a legacy, but I highly doubt they want to be remembered as self-centered. And the way to avoid that is to lead the country into a better place. What Trump policy do you see as mean-spirited and self-centered? Securing our Borders and shipping illegal-alien criminals out of the country? Strengthening our military? Increasing national security through hardening our presence in Panama and Greenland? Limiting our identification of gendering to two sexes, and limiting women's sports to women? Opening up our energy resources (to their rich friends, I suppose) so we don't have to pay more for gasoline and heating our homes? Putting RFK, Jr in charge of health affairs so he can poison America? Eliminating racist government policies (which currently work against a meritocracy actually including Whites, Asians and Jews)?

Sounds pretty terrible, eh?

I think Jeffrey Sachs has many wise things to say about post-Soviet Russia, and the direction our relations should take with the Russian Federation.

But I find myself parting ways with him quite significantly with respect to China. I think he has something to say from a purely economic standpoint, but the Chinese CCP regime - in my opinion, anyway - is much closer to that of the USSR - not the modern Russia. The potential political evils must be factored into our relationship with China.

Frankly, I think Trump is right on track with respect to both Russia and China (as is Rubio, I think). We are very fortunate to have him right now.

Trump and the entire team is “Me first”. We are being betrayed into a Dual CEO style of executive government management system. Right before our eyes . And we the people deserve it.

Linden. Every American who cannot name his /her Senator /Representitive, which President died in 1963, who was our first President; Why the Marines Hymn includes reference to the Shores of Tripoli; What states border Lake Michigan; Who were the principle opponents in WWII?; Name three US national parks and why are there 13 stripes on the US flag. 95% of the population between 18 and 40 years of age cannot answer these questions correctly. That’s why we deserve whatever government is thrust upon us. Nobody will resist until it’s too late.

So Trump and Musk are in it for personal financial gain ("me first")? Hoping, maybe, that they can become millionaires? Trump, perhaps, wants an early retirement so he can go snooze on the beach?

Hardly. It’s power and a legacy unavailable otherwise.
