The Japanese sure got around during WWII----My Daddy fought them in The Philippines jungles around this same time.

General Buck Turgidson--played by George C. Scott. One of my favorite films of all time. Kubrick was a genius.
The inbred Oligarchs are Megalomaniacal Psychopaths but they ain't liars (always). When they pronounce they've determined to reduce the world population by 90%---they're as serious as all git out.
Been there 2 times. Once thru the canal. An amazing place. Just ordered The Path Between the Seas: The Creation of the Panama Canal, 1870-1914 per Michael’s recommendation. Already read the Creature which launched me on the most amazing rabbit hole adventure I could imagine. Nice work Michael!
US War propaganda department movie set Panama as the target for a Japanese sneak attack, not Pearl Harbor. Kind of cheesy, not one of his classics or necessarily real insightful. Other than that the whole defense of Panama thing has a long, long history.

Still surprised to see somebody actually planned it.
Always impressed by your depth of research and commitment to educating us.
