They knew how to leverage their bodies to lift bloody great big timber beams. They were men to be proud of - unbelievably mentally AND physically strong.
They could escourt me any time of day or night - to anywhere, and ALL the young men at that dance would know not to mess with me 🥰 I felt SO proud of my brothers and Dad! They always kept their vigilance to the fore for their sisters / daughters; kept their anger at bay; understood how to diffuse heated situations early....... REAL MEN who undertood they were the protectors of society - to keep the untoward mongrels at bay. and protect their women. Is that mold broken?
