Thank you for this message. The audio was pretty broken up on my end, but going from the comment that precedes mine, you are presenting a risk situation for local village children who are suffering cataracts at what seems a very early age. I grew up in Hawai'i and had the care of an esteemed Kahuna la'au lapa'au who was one of a handful of traditional Native Hawaiian practitioners quietly practicing their arts around 30 years ago . This man was the acknowledged leading practitioner of herbal therapies. He told me there was a specific local grass for its flexible, but very sharp edged leaves that he had been trained to use for cataract surgery. His patient would lie down face up, he would pick a leaf of tee right size, hold one end of the leaf with fingers of each hand, form a loop around the cataract, and swiftly pull the loop closed so it would slice off the cataract tissue. Due to tragic circumstances and the vagaries of that time, he passed before being able to pass his precious knowledge down. It is possible that knowledge of this kind is still alive in Central America among curanderos who have learned to stay out of sight of the pharmaceutical demons lurking in our modern times. Sometimes you just need to know how to ask the right question. It is possible that these kids are ma;nourished, causing cataracts at such early ages, or that they are colonized with parasites that are interfering with the development or ability to heal their tissues.
These children are happy, healthy and notice NO “smart” blue lights in their faces. Thanks for showing real life and beautiful children. Just talked with a local realtor here in southern AZ about 5g towers. He said there is No place that he knows of, even way out in the country in this area of the state that doesn't have them. They are warp speeding these towers, big time in the U.S. How about Panama, and other countries?
Little one's are just too cute...Truly authentic little people not yet artful or filled with guile...Happy, healthy and innocent. Always strikes me in the heart to be around kids in the 3rd World, especially in Orphanages...Impossible to imagine people stealing such little people and wishing to hurt them as the evil of the world has done to children and babies from south of the U.S. border. Would prefer to die than to harm such splendid tiny treasures.
Tutored people from Taiwan and Japan while in university in English and A&P. Love the Asian cultures, rather old-fashioned morals, respect for parents and elders, determination as well as prioritizing education, academics, skills and talents in variety of disciplines. Never visited Japan but always wished to. Masako really relates will with the kids, behaves from a keen maternal instinct which brings them out of their shells while on camera.
Have an aunt from China via Hong Kong and a cousin from South Korea and they're both very popular at Family Reunions and such...Asians for we out in the sticks in Amish Country, as in Panama, are still rather rare. Sometimes, in this modern world...It feels as though the older world less developed is more substantial and relatable.
This was very lovely yesterday Michael.
