I agree with your loving defense of Michael and Masako who, with great risk and sacrifice, bring us the only truth of the world I can any longer trust...proven over much time to be on target and courageous and faithful. And they are such good people. Authentic. No pretense. How blessed we all are to know them. I appreciate Stefan's faith. Some of his comments are most helpful to me. Each one of us is on a different path...with different experiences in life...and brought to different places because of those experiences. I try to remember this truth daily. I try not to waste my time. This is why I value Michael and Masako to the degree I do. Faith is an internal matter for me. Between my Heavenly Father and me only. My grandson asked me if I ever go to church. I told him Jesus Christ is my best friend and my church and that I pray constantly...mostly to thank God for the awareness and blessings in my life that empower me to be of service to others...to not live for myself but for the greater good.
My grandsons other grandparents are devout Catholics....and my daughter-in-law follows on the path. Her two sisters are devout Catholics as are their husbands and children. It is beneficial for my grandsons to learn of a wider world.

FWIW, my dad's parents came to the US from Sweden sometime in the early 1900's, and of course spoke Swedish. Brrrr, bet it's cold up there now.
